MyGallons prices move along with wholesale gas prices and are updated throughout the day. The price at the gas station lags behind wholesale price changes (typically 2-5 days). When prices move quickly, like they have lately, the difference could be significant until the pump catches up to wholesale. This does not affect yours savings. You pre-purchase and cash-in at the MyGallons price which moves in a similar manner to those at the pump.
Pre-purchase your fuel online from MyGallons to lock-in the current price. When prices rise, cash-in your pre-purchased gas to save money. When you cash-in your pre-purchased gallons you choose how to receive the money: 1. Have the proceeds electronically deposited into your checking account. OR 2. Have the money loaded onto the MyGallons Fuel Savings Debit Card for use at the station. For example, if you buy fuel at $2.00 per gallon, and wait until the prices go up to $3.00 per gallon, you would save $1.00 per gallon.
You may buy fuel from any station around the world. Within 30 days of pumping the gas, log into the MyGallons site and tell us how many gallons you have used.
